“How do I schedule an appointment?”
Call our office or have referring physician send the order for a consultation, and we will call you to schedule a time.

“Do I need prior authorization from my insurance provider?”
We will call your insurance company to verify your insurance, check benefits and prior authorization.

“Will my insurance cover my consultation and/or procedure?”
Although nearly all of our interventional services can be covered by insurance, every patient’s case is different.  Some may be fully covered, others may have out-of-pocket costs. Contact one of our patient representatives for detailed information about your procedure.

“What information is needed for Carolina Imaging Specialists to bill my insurance company?”
A copy of your insurance card and policy holder information.

“Will Carolina Imaging Specialists file a claim with my secondary, as well as primary insurance plan?

“How can I request a copy of my films or images?”
You will receive a CD with your images when you leave the office, Your referring physician will receive your results within 24-48 hours

“How long are my films, reports and images (medical records) kept on file?”
7 years

“Does Carolina Imaging Specialists treat children?”

“I am from out of town. Can Carolina Imaging Specialists help me find a place to spend the night?”

“May I request a price quote before I have my imaging study or procedure?”

“Where will my procedure take place?”
Nearly all of our patients are seen in the surgical suite at our Mt. Pleasant office.  Only in rare, complex cases, are some patients seen in the hospital OR.

“Will I have a long recovery time?”
Everyone experiences and reacts differently to treatment, but most of our patients are able to return to their normal routine immediately.
